Sophie and Fabien’s wedding at Villa Pizzo was a dream. The venue chosen is one of the most beautiful on Lake Como, needless to say, one of my favourites.
I love the atmosphere of this historical villa, its curated gardens with 180 degree view on the lake. It easy to understand why John Legend and Chrissy Teigen chosen this place for their wedding years ago… We started the day at Villa Gesumin for bride and groom preparations, and later reach Villa Pizzo for a welcome aperitivo before celebrations start.
Sophie was a stunning vision in her Riki Dalal gown. It was a modern yet timeless dress with hand sewn floral accents all over the top. Also, Fabien was dapper in his blue tailored suit by Les Nouveaux Ateliers.
The beautiful outdoor ceremony was full of heartfelt moments and speeches, which left few guests with dry eyes. After that we took advantage of the beautiful spots the villa offers for some portrait. Meanwhile the guests were enjoying cocktails and music in the Italian Garden.
The original plan of a totally al fresco dinner changed due to the weather and the couple opted for a covered tent structure in the courtyard. Even so, the reception area looked gorgeous with lovely decor and details. There were beautiful florals and greenery, and tons of candles featured throughout the room, set up by the amazing team ofFigli dei Fiori .
The rest of the night was spent dining with delicious food from AFM Banqueting. In addition, all guests were surprised by a traditional Bulgarian dance, which honoured Sophie’s family background. And at that point, a serious dance party started! The whole day was just perfect and it was such a pleasure to be a part of it all.
