In this romantic Apulia elopement we wanted to describe this region with a different perspective. A modern take on this Italian region so loved by foreign visitors, that has its roots going deep in the local traditions. Three are the must have topics for our elopement: Romantic, Casual and Fresh. We picked the Riserva Naturale Torre Guaceto as the location for the first look and the ceremony, an enchanted place out of time with a XV century watchtower, settled in the middle of a beautiful wilderness and surrounded by endless crystal sea. We decided to settle the al fresco wedding dinner in the backyard of Masseria Alchimia, a traditional local building facing the sea and surrounded by ancient olive trees. Camilla Cascino and I teamed up with a great team of talented vendors who designed their creations specifically for the shoot.
Roberto waits for his bride Grace with a gorgeous bouquet by Chiara Sperti Floral Events made by garden roses, lunaria and Vanda Orchids. Everything matches our neutral-warm tones palette: from the soil to the local wilderness. The uber talented designer Silvia Valli created the bride dresses: the first one, for the ceremony, a skirt made of silk satin and chiffon and an embroiled bodice. The second, for the reception: voile chiffon trousers and French lace bodice with micro pailettes. Our groom wears a three-pieces suit by Linneo Archivable Clothing: a linen jacket with a revival ’50s cut paired with cotton papillon and pochette with flower textures. Our Hmua, Sara Onori, created a natural and ethereal look for the romantic ceremony that twists into a sofisticated one for the alfresco dinner in masseria. I personally designed the bespoke wedding suite for this romantic Apulia elopement with a modern interplay of calligraphy and text and soft watercolor to evoke the local wilderness and its warm palette.
