There’s a quiet kind of magic in black and white celebrations, a calm confidence that speaks in whispers but stays with you. Alexandra and Lukas’s timeless wedding at the iconic Villa Cetinale embodied this spirit perfectly: refined, intentional, and profoundly moving. Set in the hills near Siena, this 17th-century baroque estate offered more than a breathtaking backdrop. Alexandra and Lukas reserved the villa for an entire week, staying there with their closest family and friends, turning their wedding into a once-in-a-lifetime retreat. It was a rare and beautiful opportunity to slow down, share meaningful time together, and fully immerse themselves in the magic of the place and the people they love most. Surrounded by manicured gardens and centuries of history, it held space for something deeper, a celebration not just of style, but of connection.

The Bride & Groom’s style

From the very beginning, Alexandra and Lukas envisioned a celebration that was classic yet contemporary, one that honored tradition while feeling deeply personal and contemporary. They chose a black and white dress code to infuse the day with timeless sophistication, complemented by florals in a soft, romantic palette of muted pinks, white, and fresh greens. Every element was designed to reflect who they are: thoughtful, grounded, and full of grace. With the impeccable guidance of Sposiamovi, every detail, from the muted floral palette to the warm rhythm of the day, felt like a quiet extension of their love.

Alexandra’s bridal style was the perfect balance of sophistication and ease. Her two gowns by Pronovias Atelier reflected different facets of her, one classic and romantic, the other sleek and bold. A soft veil and her Amina Muaddi heels added just enough drama, while still feeling effortlessly her. Lukas opted for timeless simplicity with a Hugo Boss tuxedo, understated, sharp, and exactly right. Together, they radiated elegance without ever trying too hard.

The ceremony

Set beneath Villa Cetinale’s towering cypress trees, the symbolic ceremony felt both intimate and grand. The florals by La Rosa Canina, garden roses, olive branches, and peonies in soft, natural tones, complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings without ever overpowering it.

What made the ceremony truly special was the presence of Alexandra’s older brother as the officiant. More than just family, he had always been her closest friend , a steady, loving presence throughout her life. It was through him that Alexandra and Lukas first met, brought together by a shared passion for sport that had bonded the two men long before love entered the picture. Having him lead the ceremony wasn’t simply symbolic, it was deeply meaningful, a heartfelt reflection of the story that brought them all together.

As Alexandra walked down the aisle with her father, her calm presence and luminous smile set the tone. The soft notes of a string quartet drifted through the air, as friends and family looked on, many with tears in their eyes, witnessing a moment filled with love and connection.

The italian aperitivo

Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the villa’s gardens for a relaxed and elegant cocktail hour. The atmosphere was set with soft live music drifting through the air, inviting everyone to unwind and enjoy the moment. Friends and family sipped on Italian aperitivi and local wines, while savoring a curated selection of Tuscan delicacies. A dedicated cigar area offered a refined touch for the gentlemen to enjoy in good company. It was a beautiful pause in the day, a time to connect, laugh, and fully take in the joy of the occasion.

As cocktail hour ended, guests moved to the back of the villa, where a beautifully styled dining space awaited beneath the open sky. Alexandra and Lukas made a grand entrance down the villa’s scenographic staircase. They then shared their first dance, embraced by the warmth and joy of their closest loved ones.
Following this, they invited their parents to join them: the father-daughter and mother-son dances brought tender emotion to everyone watching. There were tears, soft smiles, and quiet exchanges between family members — the kind of gestures that stay with you.

The dinner under the stars

Dinner began just as the sun slipped behind the Tuscan hills. Long tables adorned with linen, florals, and candlelight created an atmosphere both intimate and radiant. As guests shared wine and laughter, the couple’s dearest friends and parents stood to speak, their words painting a vivid portrait of Alexandra and Lukas, of their story, and of all the love surrounding them. This is one of my favorite parts of any wedding. When those who love you most open their hearts, and the celebration becomes more than an event: it becomes a mirror of everything you hold dear. Capturing those emotions, quietly and with care, is something I’ll never take for granted.

What made this day unforgettable wasn’t just the beauty of the setting, it was the depth of feeling that filled every space. The quiet smiles, the unspoken glances, the way their guests felt entirely at ease. That’s the kind of story I love to tell. Photographing Alexandra and Lukas timeless wedding at Villa Cetinale was not only a privilege, it was a reminder of why I do what I do: to preserve what’s real, with artistry and heart.
